Farm and Artisan Cheese
Nettle Meadow Sanctuary Farm is the home to well over 130 farm sanctuary animals and a cheese company in Thurman, New York, just below Crane Mountain in the Adirondacks between Gore Mountain/North Creek and Warrensburg. Nettle Meadow Farm was originally founded in 1990. Visit our Farm & Sanctuary page
to learn more.

Our Cheese
Nettle Meadow is home to more than 40 award-winning cheeses! Kunik, a trademarked and true American original cheese has received more accolades and awards than we can list here. Also in our collection are other award-winning originals: Adironjack, Sugar Loaf, and Honey Lavender Fromage Blanc.
Come Visit!
Everything we do, we do for our Sanctuary critters. Come say hello and take a walk around our farm, meeting our beloved animals. Or, visit us at our Hitching Post location, where you can have a delightful meal, local wines and brews, and even watch our team make your favorite cheeses!

Our cheese is available for sale at both locations.

Have you ever dreamed of being part of an award-winning artisan creamery rooted in Adirondack heritage?
At Nettle Meadow Creamery, nestled in the hills of Lake Luzerne, we’re at a pivotal moment — and we’re inviting mission-aligned investors to help shape our future.
Last month at the 2025 American Cheese Society Awards, our iconic Kunik and fan-favorite Honey Lavender Fromage Frais each won 1st Place in their categories, a testament to the quality and distinctiveness that have defined Nettle Meadow for decades!
Now’s the time to build, not pull back. If our mission speaks to you — or you know someone who might want to be part of our next chapter — please reach out! We’d love to talk.
